Fun Facts regarding "Hyadain no Kakakata Kataomoi -English Dub-"
(8/28-29/12):

* This is the first opening for the popular anime "Nichijou"
(translated as "My Ordinary Life"), played in episodes 1-13.

* This is the fandub sung by voice actress and part-time fandub
singer Cristina Vee, accompanied by Y. Chang for the male-side
vocals. This version was chosen because of Cristina's excellent
job at syllable count matching, and because it sounds really
good (unlike lots of other fandubs).

* As usual, Chang has done an excellent job assuring syllable
placement matches like 95% with the original Japanese version,
which is quite an achievement considering that getting the
same concepts across in English using the same number of syllables
is extremely hard, especially given that he always assures
the translation is as accurate as possible. (When you add the
fact that he also managed to find ways to rhyme where applicable,
it just makes this dub more amazing.)

* Expert is just barely a 10 due to lots of jumps and mines
throughout, some handplants in the slowdown, and one twisting
section near the beginning of the song.
-> The slowdown doesn't feature any mines at all, so you can
have a bunch of fun with it. There are also handplants in
   all the right places there.
-> "Can I somehow be saved from this long awkward pause?" features
nothing but left and right arrows with no mines to force it
to look like an easier difficulty. (Awkward~ :p)

* Hard is a 9. There are far less jumps, fewer mines, and less
  insanity overall.
-> You'll still be stepping to the gallops in the slowdown, and
they'll be a bit easier (the hands are absent).
-> "Can I somehow be saved from this long awkward pause?" features
a bunch of lefts and rights again, this time in jackhammers.

* Medium is a very tricky 7. There are lots of two-in-a-row
8th notes to go with the song's timing, and the slowdown's also
a bit tricky (although at this point you only step to Cristina's
  voice, not the gallops).
-> "Can I somehow be saved from this long awkward pause?" has
   several left and right holds.

* Easy is a 6, despite being significantly easier to perform than
Medium just because of the speed of the song.
-> "Can I somehow be saved from this long awkward pause?" is now
nothing more than a really long hold (here and on Novice).

* Novice is a 4, which I realize is really hard for a Novice chart,
but there are so many off-beat lyrics in the song, making it any
easier would have required me to put arrows in a LOT of locations
where they would've been very obviously wrong (a tactic you can
often get away with in songs with a lot less off-beat singing, but
for this song, I found doing so to be utterly impossible).
